At Yoga St Andrews, my philosophy is Yoga is for Everybody, all different shapes,
sizes, gender, age and beliefs.
Can't touch your toes? Who cares, that’s not what it's all about.
My intention is to bring a sense of fun, up lifting energy and adventure. We will improve mobility, strength, flexibility, balance and work on our breathing (pranayama)

The Trinity Hall is a welcoming safe space , space to move ,space to breathe where you can leave your stresses at the door Relax, Reset, Recharge and leave feeling Refreshed.
Ashtanga is a physically demanding sequence designed to create heat and maximize energy flow, improve flexibility and develop muscular strength in the body, increase circulation and get the heart and lungs working together.
We will work with the tradition sequence some weeks and change it up to FUSION other weeks. Starting the class with soft movement then working into a dynamic flow inspired by ashtanga elements and create a varied and dynamic practice combining different disciplines. Yoga St Andrews
Is a slow gentle practice done mainly on the floor or reclined, holding posture
for extended periods of time.
It targets your physical, mental and emotional body.
Opening and unfolding the body your soft mindful breath will take you naturally deeper into your posture on your exhale. Yoga St Andrews
Yin centers on stretching and lengthening deeper connective tissues, lubricating the joints and stimulating the nervous system which controls the body’s ability to relax
find your edge, be still, hold and let gravity take over and enjoy the meditative quality yin offers. All levels welcomes.

What do I love most about your classes ?
apart from the fact that you set the mood beautifully for both yin and yang with the best music & sound system … you have challenged me & my body to push further at every class.
My very first yin class ended with us lying in savasana.
( the block between my shoulder blades & arms outstretched)- felt like I had just had the deepest massage , so relaxed it was amazing !
The day after my first yang class with you my arms ached from the repeated chattaranga and I loved it from then on - fast paced, dynamic and intense …
Overall I love the explanation of the ‘how & why‘ it’s so good for us , the way you gently check on us all in the yin class , ensuring we get the most out our practice.
You are like a breath of fresh air, burst of energy & you make it fun !

My passion for yoga began over 25 years ago and whilst travelling the world I took part in yoga workshops in Thailand, Vietnam and Mexico .
In 2019 I completed my teacher training with MCY, Merchant City Yoga in Glasgow, being taught by the most amazing Ashtanga teachers.
After being diagnosed in my early twenties with a joint problem it became clear to me yoga was my medicine and way of life.
